I have just downloaded a free metronome. It behaves just like a real one. You slide the weight and the tempo changes. Pretty cool for free.

It'd be interesting to see how much it varies from the demo code apple use for a metronome

The developer says that it is virtually identical. Hence the price. Free.

Will this app work with this forum? http://appshopper.com/social-networking ... um-browserIt looks like a really good idea but only if it will work with X404.

Hmm, no reply. I assume then that it probably won't. The forum needs to be hosted on a particular server, or at least that is how I read it. In other news I have now got this app. It lets you take over and control public web.cams from all over the world. You can pan tilt and zoom (where supported) in zoos, on traffic, on beaches and many other places. You can add your own webcams too, allowing you to keep an eye on your house when you are away from it. http://appshopper.com/utilities/i-c-livecams

Strange thing, I have started to try to click on links on my MacBook using my fnger. As it does not have a touchscreen this seems like a bad habit to get into.

If you idea was for an App that makes it easy for iPhone users to use ANY forum then I would buy it. I would pay up to £5 for such a beast. CC

Is it for you? I thought you didn't like earphones (maybe you're going for headphones)

Yes, it is for me. I still don't like headphones, but I like listening to a lot of podcasts, which I don't have time to do at home, so will use it at work or when I have to fly to the UK.
The earbuds are uncomfortable and I hate the spaghetti of cables they leave behind, because they flop in opposite directions, but the iPod itself is nice. I tried watching Jason Calacanis' TWiST podcast on it last night. Really good, so about 4 hours of TWiST to listen to on it, plus about another 20 podcasts I missed over the last 4 days...
Safari is a bit quicker than Opera on my Windows Mobile 'phone, but they are about as usable - a bit of a gimmick, useful in an emergency, but not a platform I would use for general browsing...

The Apple Remote for iTunes is pretty dam cool. Sat on the couch using the phone to control music and video on the computer is really nice. Anything stored in iTunes can be displayed on the phone and then played on the main computer through my sound system. I am tempted to put all of my video into iTunes on the strength of this app.
