When you can tie a bow-tie perfectly, but still can't quite grasp how a normal tie knots...

:D

When you can accurately explain how streaming video over IP works

When the first thing you do when you get a new pc is benchmark it.....

When you genuinely try to get your other half to play on your xbox so you have a reason to get more games for it.

KRKux: Some of us can actually tie a tie properly, it impresses girls in case you didn't know.

What can I say, geordie girls are generally impressed by anything shiny, I used to take tin foil on a first date to distract them ;)

You know you're a geek when you instantly think of the suitable meme to accompany this

And you're even more of a geek when you ping your sever from work to wake everything up ready for when you get home

Geeks never switch off their PC. Because they're interested in uptime.

Jon

I second that! (What can I say? I'm an older geek and so don't "+1" things. I actually have the ability to construct a grammatically correct sentence)

Is that the cheat code for Shining Force II? On the Mega Drive? Or was that Up, Down, Up, Down, Right, left, right, left, B + Start?

Had to do that in the Royal Navy!

You know when your a stingy geek:
When you leave your mobile attached to your desktop and logmein to the desktop, from your laptop, whilst on holiday, to send and receive texts for free :D

PC's don't get turned off, they sleep, and the server stays on...

Code:
admin@beleg-ia:~$ uptime
 11:17pm  up  16 days 14:16,  1 user,  load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00

Only so short because I upgraded the build and had to do a restart

You know your a geek when you order the instruction set manual for the Pentium3 along with design documentation...And Intel ships them via airmail at their cost for free!

When you use MS Sound Recorder (or similar) to play your voice in reverse to you can learn how to talk backwards...

Hehe, I remember doing that, only ever managed
neb s-eye mean yum, ohlech

Never got it quite right, when playing that backwards there was too much emphasis on the endings of words...
