The good news is that the Doctor is being played by an older actor. So no swooning over him by the companion due to it suddenly being creepy. Some people are already likening the new outfit to those worn by Pertwee, but pared down to the essentials. Much hope for a scarier, more gothic Doctor Who.

Seriously though? Is that the point where we've come to now? Where analysing the clothes a character wears is something we do, like it's somehow important? Christ on a unicycle.

Was that planned in the sequel to the bible?

Indeed - I couldn't care less. I'm more interested in what Capaldi will bring to the role, not his bloody Doc Martens.

In light of finding out what the character is actually like in the role, there's nothing else to report. An for the cosplayers out there (and there are many) this article comes with enough time for them to get properly togged out. If it was me, I wouldn't've reported on the the costume, as it is, I only posted the link. Mark

It will cost upwards of £800 for just the coat. Not as costly as Sherlock's, but getting there.

New season scripts leak. Episode title and writer spoilers, for those of such sensitivities. Mark

*Turns off internet* Well, at the very least, I'll probably be avoiding a few sites for the time being. Who is one of those programmes I like to watch without any fore knowledge of what's to come.
