Think its worth trying to get any more discount out of them?

I haven't received anything myself. I doubt there is much chance of them letting a few of the earliest through.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

You could argue as it was a pricing error from supplier and not them so not their responsibility so they should honour it and take it up with their supplier

I imagine they've spent the last couple of days talking to the supplier about how the whole situation will be handled. There might still be a bit of room for bargaining and as they say, if you don't ask you don't get.

I'm not paying £900 like they are offering, I would expect discount to use on anything.

What if you are in the market for a digital camera and went for that one because of the price range it was the best NOT because it was a Canon SLR that was incidentally cheap?

I'm going to be quite blunt about it. T+C state the right to refuse is if it's based on THEIR error, yet they say it's a supplier error.

Intentionally misleading customers with offers that never exist is against the law. Looks like they are pulling a Dell.

But this wasn´t intentional and it´s therefore a different issue.

And Dell repeatedly selling £1000+ GPUs for £12 or laptops for £100

It's to get traffic, Dell got caught in Asia miss-pricing a monitor and were forced to satisfy the orders, Similar measures need to be in place over here.

Sorry Fin, but human error isn't misleading customers. It is why all offers are sent out E&OE...

I actually think given their T&C state they dont have to do diddly squat their offer of £300 off is quite generous. The camera plus 18-135mm at WarehouseExpress is £1049 so if anyone wants one you could be doing them a favour/bargain.

I got my '7 days to reply' email last night.

When it's done to generate traffic it is, Dell are known for doing this, obviously misspricing items then cancelling orders but getting the additional traffic and custom.

Not saying they will honour prices as they didn't know about it for some time so it seems genuine, but companies have done this before
