Only another 3 and a bit hours until I have my meeting... let's just hope I still have a job at the end of it.

Well... it's now unofficially official. I have been put on 2 weeks garden leave, and unless Manpower can find another role I shall be made redundant, unlike my oh so unhelpful colleague who has not.

I guess it just goes to show that maybe always being helpful and going the extra mile doesn't actually mean anything at the end of the day.

Sorry to hear that John. Good luck!

Seriously sorry John.

There's no such thing as stupid questions, just stupid people. Bugger.

Afternoon all,

I think I've got an interview for a 3 to 6 month contract tomorrow. The money isn't good and it's a fair distance, but it'll do to calm the wife down a bit... I've also got another couple of potential gigs I'm looking at, and potentially a couple of non I.T. related projects which I can't discuss at the moment which I'm investigating but for now....

Have a great day everyone.

:)

Best of luck JV!

Morning all,

Contemplating rebuilding the main PC, but as the wife and kids are off to her mums for a few days later on I might leave it until they go.

Lots of investigating things to do today, so...

Have a great day everyone.

:)

On your own for a day? Easy grab a beer and the remote and watch the box and relax.

Technically on my own for 3 or 4 days, but that actually sounds like a plan... as long as you replace the word beer with a large whisky ;)

By the way, in case anyone didn't see my post in the "random" thread, I didn't get the contract on Friday. Apparently they found someone who was more local, which is a blessing in disguise, as the drive up was a bloody nightmare and I really didn't want to let the agency guy down, a I've done a lot of work for him in the past.

The drink was optional and flexible and not stipulated as mandatory. ;)
