Gut instinct is the 13" and ipad... That sounds a bit rude, doesn't it?

Copier salespeople are the lowest form of life. It's very satisfying when one gets a karmic drubbing.

We had a network laser copier multifunction device on a lease for more years than I care to recall. The lease is up, and we want rid. The machine's networking failed about three years back, and no-one could mend it. For the past year or more it's been a trial to even just get a single copy out without it being made into a concertina.

The copier company said they can take it away. No problem, just the £120 handling fee...

I set Best Beloved on the guy. I wish I could have heard the other end of the conversation.

Anyway, upshot is they will remove the junk copier for £15+VAT and whatever outstanding copies I haven't paid for. :)

Best Beloved has been nominated official financial negotiator from now on.

What's on my mind?
The interview tomorrow.
I'm insanely nervous - I think I'm pretty reckoned mentally for what they're going to ask me, and how I should respond, but then you never know do you?
The last interview I had was with Apple, and I got that (only to have the job pulled from me at the 11th hour) so clearly I can interview well.
But goddamn it, I want it so badly. It'd practically double my wage, give me a lot of free time, and it's in an area I know.
*sigh*

Right, time to pick out the threads, drink this bottle of Grolsch and have a shave.

Ah don't worry about it, try talking to yourself in the mirror in the morning before the interview, don't say anything to do with the interview, maybe sing to yourself loudly in the mirror, it will put a smile on your face, pull you out of yourself, and make you feel more assertive. And most of all, the very best of luck dude, you deserve it :)

could you not have a dram of vodka or something just before? then eat some mints to mask the smell of alcohol,

seriously considering a shot of amaretto before I go to court

Hmm, alcohol makes you truthful, I may be weird about this, but that's the last thing I'd want at a job interview. For me, part of the whole professional image is your willingness to and experience in putting aside your own agenda, they want to see how much you'd contribute to the company, end of. You want to portray an idealised business-world version of yourself, and as any actor or presenter knows, don't use alcohol to fight nerves, you'll fluff your lines.

Yeah, I'd prefer a crystal clear head - I also get too jovial with a drink inside me and I will say something unsuitable for an interview!

Hiking in Patagonia, driving through the Argentinian desert, lazing on tropical Uruguayan beaches, cocktails in Rio, exploring Easter Island, sunbathing with a group of Bolivian spider monkeys, feeding an Andean Spectacled bear, photographing the Inca Trail.

Catch up tv on ps3 is just amazing and brilliant and I can't believe the people in charge have let something so amazing and free happen.

Well done the BBC for leading the way with the iplayer, because I doubt the commercial channels would have done it off their own bats.

The new G73SW gaming laptop. Nowhere near as expensive as alienware/XPS lappies.
