It seems the haptic side of things only works when quickly tapping it with the middle of your thumb, and in a very specific way

Coca Cola Life - Looks and tastes quite like the proper stuff, but ironically is a little lifeless! However, this might be due to the fact that Uxbridge Coke (that seems to be where all our 1.25l bottles come from) is like water compared to the Coke bottled in Ulster. Honestly, it was flatter than Holland... This is a real pain in the arse since if I want to buy the vanilla flavour for instance I already know it won't taste as good as when it was bottled over here, and it'll only come in a 1.25l bottle n'all

Pure win, though you need to be careful not to flick out the ice cream whilst trying to bite the KitKat

Canon Pixma IP7250

Has been a breeze to set up on the Mac and for printing from my phone via WiFi. It's nice when technology works as it's supposed to.

Inkjet? Never again. I'm sick and tired of clogged print heads or dried up ink carts. You have to run several cleaning cycles to get them working again, using up half your ink in the process.

Epson, HP, Canon and Kodak - sh!te. Every last one of them. The Epson was the last straw - two weeks after fitting new carts, it decided there was no yellow left and doggedly refused to print anything, even in mono.

I was going to drop £150+ on a decent SOHO colour laser, but a Samsung popped up in the local ads. Got it for £30 with a full set of genuine toner carts (worth over £100 on their own). The fuser is good for 24,000 prints and has only seen 4500. :D

It is brilliant. It even prints passable photos on plain paper - not something any of my inkjets has ever managed - and you can leave it for a week and it still prints perfect copies without throwing up errors and having hissy fits, which is a far cry from life with an inkjet.

TBF I've had a Canon Pixma printer (it's an MG6250 or something) and it's been fine. It's frustrating in that it wastes ink to clean the print heads when you first switch it on, so it does take a while if you want to print just a single page. But otherwise it's fine, especially for photos.

These days I might not use the printer for months at a time so it's less of an issue. I've been through one set of cartridges since Xmas last year.

I'd like to call it cheap tat, but what I ordered for my parents was expensive tat - Cut The Rope joke book and plush toy, neither worth the material they're made from.

A giant Playmobil cargo ship for the nephew was much more like it. He's gonna be in hospital all week so I'm off to find some Lego in a minute...

My dragon Kindle cover looks to be the business (need to see if it fits the Paperwhite), and my 5 port USB charger is awesome :D

Crystal Head vodka - this could be Smirnoff tbh, you're really paying for the cool 'bottle'. Though it is 40% at least.

I must have been lucky, I've had HP and Epson inkjets since 1992 and I've never had a blocked jet or a dried up cartridge. With my first Deskjet I'd often go 4 or 5 months between printing pages.

Mine ran out of yellow, but continued printing. I bought cheap refill cartridges, never again. They leaked and they didn't print evenly. I'll be sticking to originals.

We just bought a Dell MFC at work for 200€, that is a very good device.

Headphones. Specifically Razer 7.1 USB. Got these for Brooke, for her 13th Birthday. Only I didn't realise they were USB, until she opened them. Oops!

Decided that I'm going to keep them, for use with my PC, so went out last night and bought her a pair of Dre's, which she also loves.

Win, win situation. :D

Which model? The C1765?

Because that's the one I was about to buy, before the bargain Samsung popped up.

In other news:
I got a HyperX Cloud headset yesterday - basically the QPad QH-90s for half the price. 8-)

Bought some wicked shots of coffee patrón last night as a farewell drink to my friend who is moving to Canada.

Sad to see him go but I now have an open offer to go whenever I want :D

Bought one of those dolce wotsit coffee machines recently. Only had a chance to try it the other night but it is rather good. I'll tell you all about it when I'm not so knackered.

Sent from my big ass Sony Xperia Z Ultra tabphonelet, using Tapatalk 4.

Yep, that's the one. We bought the nf model, although we had to return the second one, because the page was pulled in at a slight angle (1mm difference left to right). It doesn't sound like much, but it is enough to see that the line above the footer on our corporate template goes diagonally across the page, instead of straight... Waiting for a second model as replacement from Amazon.
