I'm not seeing her anymore.
She's given me exercises to do but told me that other than that, there's nothing more that can be done. (8+(

The physio did mention that I could be with my current pain for the rest of my life, so I'm not holding out any hope for a miracle cure or an overnight cessation of the pain.

How stoopid do I feel right now...?

Ok, so have you sought/are you seeking a second opinion?

At 37 years 7 months and 5 days old I wouldn't accept the fact that I might be in pain for the rest of my life...

This was the second opinion. *laugh*
I've got prescription meds that I take when the pain gets really bad, luckily that's not very often at all.

I'd still be tempted to get a third opinion, but if you're handling the med's OK, than that's the important thing I guess.

Congrats Alun!
And I hope you can do something about your back Mark, have you tried looking at non-medical remedies? Chinese chemist, healers, etc?

I've just taken my MacBook apart, it was very dusty in there! Seems to be running a bit quieter now, I guess the air flow must be better, that'll improve battery life too, it's gone down to 4hrs now :( Still, not bad for a three year old battery :D

I've just checked the thermometer in the study where I'm, well, studying (it's a loft conversion type affair, with no windows, fans or ventilation worth mentioning):

36 degrees. :|

No wonder I'm sweating all over! I think I might take this downstairs...

I found a spare 120mm case fan and have soldered it onto a USB connector. Now I have a a desk fan for my home office, but it is, unfortunately, rather lacking in power though.

Peter.

I have 4 2000rpm 120mm fans that shift crazy amounts of air if you are interested. They certainly aren't doing much here.

Thanks for the kind offer, Jon, but the limiting factor is the voltage from the USB port. I did originally connect it directly to the power supply, which was much faster, but I wanted to be able to swap it between computers easily.

Peter.

I swear I am so tempted to unpack my butchers knifes (one of the original set the managed to blunt completely FFS....£50 EACH and they can do that kind of damage) and stab my housemates, it's 2am, they got back an hour ago and are making so much noise and have messed up all the floors I mopped this evening as I didn't go out so I was sure my stuff was tidy fow moving out first thing tomorrow.
just checked the downstairs toilet (one of my areas to clean) and there is sick on the sides and the floor is covered in dirt...... I mopped it a few hours ago and swept it before AND after to make sure it was as clean as possible for tomorrow

They are Far King Bar Stewards!
