I loved the original Total Recall but the remake simply does not interest me,. Bryan Cranston is a great actor and will be good, but who is going take Arnie's part?

Colin Farrell.

Well that is me now longer interested.

Jumping onto the back of a car and landing on your knees? Ouch. Ouch!

I'm kind of impressed she stayed in that top doing all that running around. Heck of a lot of sellotape.

Cockneys Vs. Zombies

Quote:
Written by Severance’s James Moran, the bloodthirsty tale will see a group of bank robbers (including Michelle Ryan and Control’s Harry Treadaway) cracking open a 350-year-old vault and discover more than the loot they were after when an army of flesh-hungry zomboids emerges.

The only ultra-faint glimmer of hope here is that Severance was a good film (IMO) so there's a teeny weeny chance the film may not be complete rubbish....but I wouldn't bank on it.

More here just in case you think I'm making this up.

Also, don't be misled by the title of upcoming movie Killing Bono. It's not a documentary. :(

Trailer here.

TIME BANDITS Gets A Reboot!

Quote:
Former Handmade Films execs Guy Collins and Michael Ryan are in talks with a Hollywood co-producer to redo the Gilliam film as, and I quote, "a bigscreen kids action franchise."

Thought this was an April Fool at first....not sure now as the article is dated March 31st, plus Variety are carrying the story too.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

The Professionals are heading to the big screen

British TV crime drama The Professionals hasn’t been on screens since the ‘80s (except, alright, on ITV4), but that’s all set to change.

The ITV drama, which debuted on British telly in 1977 and ran for five series, is set for a modern day movie make-over courtesy of one of the more recent Bond producers.

Callum McDougall, who exec produced Casino Royale and Quantum Of Solace, has teamed up with fellow producer Richard Whelan and Lionsgate UK to bring a new version of the story to screens.

“The Professionals was such an iconic British crime series that it’s a fantastic opportunity for Lionsgate to be able to bring it to the big screen for the first time,” said Zygi Kamasa, Lionsgate UK's chief exec.

“This production will combine the wit and fast paced action of the original TV series but also completely reinvent it for a new, modern audience and we’re really looking forward to working with talented producers Callum and Richard on the film.”

The original Professionals TV series starred Martin Shaw and Lewis Collins as counter terrorism detective Doyle and ex-special ops mercenary Bodie.

They're recruited by Criminal Intelligence 5 to pick up the tricky jobs that the police aren’t able to. Expect Shaw to pitch up in a hilarious cameo as a judge.

Keanu Reeves Reveals New Details About 'Bill And Ted 3'
1:46 PM 4/5/2011 by Mark Cina

Bodacious: Keanu Reeves is sharing new details about a third installment of Bill and Ted.
"I believe the writers are six weeks away from a draft," he told MTV News Monday, adding with a laugh, "No pressure, guys!"

Reeves, who was vague when asked about the project last year, said he now knows “a little bit" about the plot. "But I don't know — the fellas went off and cooked it up. I don't know what happened when they put the elements together."

The first Bill and Ted flick hit screens in 1989 and centered on two teen slackers who travel through time in a phone booth to ace their high school history project. It was followed in 1991 by a sequel, Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey.

Reeves says the third installment’s story arc might fit into the overall franchise. "When we last got together, part of it was that Bill and Ted were supposed to have written the song that saved the world, and it hasn't happened," he said. "So they've now become kind of possessed by trying to do that. Then there's an element of time and they have to go back."

Last year, Reeves’ costar in the movies, Alex Winter, confirmed another movie was in the works. “We kicked around the idea over the years and had always thought if we could make something that was kind of genuine in spirit as the originals and without falling prey to kind of retro cynicism or something that was unnecessary, it would be worth doing," he told the Associated Press. "Now that the cat's out of the bag, and the truth is that, yeah, we have finally hit upon an idea that we think is pretty great."

Added Winters, "We don't want to make a cynical 'here's Bill and Ted -- you guys are our kids, now YOU guys go be Bill and Ted and the franchise can live for another 25 years! It's not that. It's a straight up, what's the funniest and most surprising take on where Bill and Ted would be right now if we stopped back in on them?"
