Ok, lady from Kent is coming to visit next weekend. Result. In the meantime, I have a more pressing issue. My most recent ex (dumped me 9mths ago and proceeded to not speak to me for about 6mths) is coming over tonight. I don't know what's happened to me, but I seem to be getting into these situations somehow. Anyway, she's baked me cake  (Her baking is legend). A couple of my girlfriends are saying she wants me. Prognosis?

I don't know, my instincts are screaming "don't touch her" you've got a nice new thing going on and going back has never had good results for me. Take a bit of time to consider how you felt after she dumped you, did she do it kindly? did she have a good reason? Is it possible she dropped you for someone else and is now crawling back after being dumped herself?
Even if you decide you do want her back, make her work for it.

The cake is legen-wait for it-dary! Oh and I've been texted pics of it, so it's real. The new "thing" is 300m away and unlikely to work out as a "girlfriend" any time soon, if ever. Sas, you seem to be on the money as far as my female friends are guessing. I'm perfectly confident and I can take care of myself, but it seems a little out of the blue. Of course, there has been some communication prior to today and I have indeed been evasive, succint and possibly even curt. Zippy, she dumped me because I was nice to her. And no, she wasn't the most tactful about it. According to her sister that was a pattern for her. Of course, whatever happens or doesn't, I won't be being nice to her again. I would however, LOVE some cake

IMO It would have to be a pretty spectacular cake, gold plated, that sings and dances and makes the tea in the morning to be worth risking another broken heart. Oke if she broke up with you because you were too nice to her, that's possibly one of the most pathetic reasons I've ever heard, second only to "his hair clashes with my favourite jacket" which I heard a couple of months ago. It's only about heartbreak if I want a relationship though, or have feelings beyond cake, right? Neither of which are currently applicable. I've given up on "falling in love". Tried that.... I take some pics of the cake later and share them with you if I get time
