Thanks for the warm welcome. Talking of warm, Big D, that’s what it is here, warm and getting warmer for the weekend. Now if only I could understand what anyone says…

:D

Pleasure to meet you Simon. I'm James. I'll probably pick your brains about being over there at some point when everything's settled down. You obviously didn't do a Dave a take 9mths out to learn German. Tut, tut. ;)

I’ve only been here 4 weeks. And they don’t speak German in Switzerland, they speak several unrecorded dialects of German which even German speakers find hard to follow. Nightmare.

Oh right. Well might as well give up then
Perhaps if you moved to Geneva, French would be easier. From what I've heard their version of it makes more sense to native British than regular French.

I wondered where you'd come from, as Caz and Dave (see what I did there) seemed to know you and I didn't recognize the name or avatar. I'm always missing out here. If I wasn't housebound with a broken ankle and online 24/7, I probably would never have heard about this place....

I think the popularity of this place has already shown what a group we are, we've all (most of us) stuck together even when the powers that be have taken away our stomping ground.

We made this new place our home already, and for Sas to set it up so quickly shows what great people we have amongst our community.

Everyone is settling in quite nicely , and sticking together to have a laugh.

It's working well, so well done everyone. :)

I'll shut-up now.

I used to think of Simon as the Dad that gave you a (well earned) hiding if you did something wrong (I remember him telling us off when we mentioned about blocking adverts).

He's a top guy though :D
