normally I woudnt look into this type of stuff so deeply, but someone showed me some scary quotes from the bible and quran, the stuff that is happaning today and that was a REAL eyeopener 8-)

And for the billionth time I will now explain (yet again) that everything I post is an "IMO" basis :) and not forcing people to belive what my opinion is, even though it may come across im stating it as a fact when im not but ive warned everyone the IMO above but I think some people may have forgotton ;)

Bratty, not only does it "come across im stating it as a fact when im not" but it also comes across as massively arrogant that you are the only one who has all the answers, and anyone who doesn't believe it is clearly delluded/ignorant/closed-minded. Believe what you want, I don't care, but it'd be nice if you could just have a conversation about a subject sometimes, rather than shoving these one-sided statements in which seem designed to raise peoples backs.

The Bible and Quran are also sci-fi books, designed to scare the credulous. You can read conspiracy in everything in the world, it doesn't mean it's true. There's a finite number of shapes in the world, and there's a whole background of common history for westerners at least, which means some repeat more than others.

You should chill out a bit.

I go on IMDB often, wiki sometime :)

Same here. Even to see if I want to want the rest of the film.

Good for you. Care to share what you found out?

What? You mean everything? No. The most common factor when looking at conspiracy though is that fact that the theorists overlook the most simple explanation of an event. e.g. an earthquake isnt caused my earths tectonic plates shifting as has been doing for millions of years its caused by HAARP.

I'm tempted to believe the HAARP theory for Haiti. But illuminati? come on!

Zippy, only Al has asked any serious questions of either me or Bratty. He may not have articulated his beliefs very well and that will account in some part for the responses. However, people have firm opinions in here on a variety of topics and in this particular thread (although it has happened elsewhere) have been unwilling to converse on the subject. I tried to step in and open up the conversation with some Socratic reasoning, but I fall into this trap a lot here. Mostly, we all talk [LIFTED] and mess about and I can't do that all the time. Sometimes, I want to discuss things for real and not cyber-five people for coming up with ever more inventive ways to take the piss.

We all take Bratty with a pinch of salt here and that's taken as read for absolutely everybody. Often I join in when it's about foreigners, or girls or driving etc! But in this case, a saw an opportunity for discussion and tried to take it.

Perhaps it is me who is at fault in expecting such a thing to happen here. For that, I apologise. But I am disappointed at some of the behaviour I've witnessed from people who I may not know extremely well, but have certainly come to expect a standard of behaviour from, over the years.

Whilst Bratty may have been quoting theories as fact, when I tried to ask questions to really get at people's ideas and understand where they are coming from, I was greeted with childish nonsense. Nobody is "inflicting" anything on anyone else. Does nobody find the reasons behind what Bratty is talking about interesting? If you feel that "this kind of thing" is powerful, do you not feel a duty to "help" those who have been misguided into believing it? Do you think that by simply saying that it's utter bollocks you are helping?

I'm sorry for ruining the light-hearted tone of what for most people is probably just a fun place to hang out and be silly. I just felt it was important to say something. I shall now stop. Enjoy the rest of your day.

there was a nation in WW2 that tried to develop a HAARP similar device to create waves to take out enemy naval shipyards etc but they only managed to create small waves and they didnt have enough research time etc,

chileans and haitins are pointing at HAARP too, cos in americas eyes they are useless? no army, poor nation etc and usa want to depopulate more?

someone showed me some quote from bible too where it says "when man has full control of the weather" or something it must mean haarp? so how can a mumbo jumbo book predict all this? also says antichrist lives on a hill :P washington DC is in capitol hill IIRC?

Isn't Osama Bin Laden meant to be living in the hills near the Pakistan border? Point made?

What's your point of view on sects and scientology then? They believe this sort of nonsense too. Also I'm sure seeing conspiracy everywhere is a medical condition.
