[LIFTED] Xbox. Installed BF3 this morning. Emily is away, Nicola is at work. Brilliant. But no, the Xbox is freezing every time I attempt to play the game.

I've seen a suggestion of installing it as it's so intensive on the machine (apparently), but maybe you've already done that :|

Yep. Installed, not installed, single player, multiplayer... nada. Gears 3 played fine a few days ago. Seems to be BF3 killing the old Xbox presumably. Need a nice new S model!

Take your incessant offers of biscuits and sweeties and shove them where the sun doesn't shine!

It should be clearly obvious, from the items I've brought in for lunch over the past two months, that I'm trying to lose weight.

If I want a frikkin biscuit, I'll ask for one. Stop trying to ram them down my throat; and maybe you won't feel the need to get all moody and pissy, when I refuse AGAIN!

FFS!

I'm obviously getting old and miserable, because I hate this time of year.

I don't mind the kids trick-or-treating, especially as the vast majority of the 30-odd we had at the door were very cheerful, polite and made an effort; I just wish people would f**K off with the fireworks until the 5th. Every frikkin night since friday, so far. It sparks the dog and cat up something terrible.

It was Diwali last Friday so you have to expect a few.

I know it's a festival of lights, but I didn't think it was the kind of thing they celebrated with fireworks. I've seen plenty of those Chinese lantern thingies being let loose, but I don't think Air-Bombs and Screamers fit the bill. ;)

Had a chat with a mate and they used fireworks in India to celebrate Diwali too, so can be expected. It generally falls around the same time as Guy Fawkes' night so definitely means there's fireworks for more than 5th Nov. I also find people use them for birthday celebrations etc.

Either way, it doesn't bother me and I'm happy for people to use fireworks whenever.

You've never lived near Southall then. It's like Beirut come Diwali (or Eid etc)

The in-laws live there. What a hole! A bunch of dangerous mad drivers too.
(Southall/London in general, not my in-laws driving)

Having just moved house, I gave my water meter reading from the old house and they advised me to check for a leak as it was so high. No leaks, so I have apparently used £371 worth of water in five months up from £200 in the previous six months when I did have a leak. I can't really afford to pay it, but apparently I just have to swallow it (no pun, etc). It's not really sunk in yet. How the [LIFTED] did that happen?

Dear HMRC and DWP,

Either of you individually would qualify for the award of Competence-free Zone of the Year 2011.

Nonetheless, when combined you are, without doubt, the most useless, abortive, dysfunctional, uncouth, artless, obfuscatory, Byzantine set of petty, small-minded, short-sighted, hypocritical, penny-pinching, cold-hearted, no-talent ass-clowns it has ever been the world's misfortune to encounter.

I know that my paltry income falls well below the qualifying threshold for the Super-Dooper £6bn Vodafone Discount. However, that should not provide grounds for my being treated like faecal matter. You send me intimidating letters, take my wife's dole money without explanation and leave us both on the breadline for ~£200 that I don't owe!

I earnestly hope that each and every one of you receives in an abundance of dark nightmares the fullest measure of the nefarious misery you so freely hand out to others.

Yours sincerely,
