I'm back on gout medication (Alopurinal 300). The good news is, the pain in my foot has gone. The bad news is, I need to wear my glasses again as it has given me blurred vision. :?

Morning all.

Another early start yet I've got nothing done in the 2 hours I've been at work

Currently sat waiting for our 20 week scan on the baby. Hopefully as we're the first of the day the schedule shouldn't be too far out

Good afternoon (or early eveing depending on your point of view).

Rather warm here today. I'm not a huge fan of hot weather so I could do without it. Still, I think I'm comfortably in the minority on that one round here.

Have a great day folks.

Morning.

A job vacancy appears. It keeps appearing. I've applied for it many times, yet never seem to be noticed. Do I have to run through the recruitment agency office in the buff? Set fire to the boss's car?

On second thoughts, I'm obviously too good for that job anyway. They can't find anyone suitable, so that's their hard cheese.

Today, Best Beloved has a regulation eye clinic test, and I get to do the weekly shop in peace.

Lo peeps

Mini heat wave started yesterday so the sunscreen got a hammering early. Factor 30 and I still got toasted... Two more days of standing at the end of the runway, beer, curry and a slap-up meal over the weekend with friends to look forward to :D

Al

It lives! Ended up going to bed at 1:00am, but the computer is back up and running and generally being super speedy. Having friends round for supper did rather slow down the rebuilding process, and there's still plenty of cable management things to do, plus a fairly heft overclock to apply, but it is at least all functioning now.

Morning all.
It's Friday at last.

Fish and chips for lunch in the canteen a distinct possibility.

Have a great day folks.

Morning World....

I wish I could be that kitty, I'm very tired today and sore with aching muscles after the garden-a-thon yesterday, sorting out the herb bed, re-seeding the grass bits and then doing my chores at home. New home is homely and is seeing visitors again this weekend for Reds birthday (36 - not old!) it's actually feeling like home now and we're both in the routine. Internet is patchy because we're right at the end of the exchange (the last house on it) and there's a fault on the line which we'll have to wait for BT to fix. I think I don't miss the internet as much as Red does, I'm quite happy pottering about the house and garden doing little jobs or reading a book, but I do get annoyed by things like not being able to internet bank at the weekends.

Hope everyone is ok and has a fab weekend xx

Lo all,

Great weather - proper Simpsons skyline out there at the moment.

On reflection, this little heatwave will be less fun over the weekend - I'll be laying paving slabs in the garden*.

Have a good one.

*note to self - buy beer on the way home.

Morning.

It's the weekend? When did that happen?

Nearly completed my marathon job in the workshop. If I had to make a living doing it, at the price I'm being paid, I'd starve in a week. Still, it's been good experience, and proves I can add this work to my arsenal of things to keep the wolf from the door. Or something.

Have a good weekend, folks.
