"mates rates" are generally under £1 per hour. I usually get "paid" with a glass of whisky, or a cup of tea and a biscuit. How long did you spend on it?

Over six hours. Not sure in total. Spanned a couple of days and I did all the leg work (picking up, taking back)

I just found my ICQ number. It's 158187322 if anyone wants to add me. I've been off line for about 15 years though

That article is libellous, I think they'll get a telling off for that one.

"everyone at RIM is totally insane".

It is true though, companies are using the term "beta" to sell a broken product and thus sidestep the need for a product to be fit for purpose.

Well, that's fine, but they really aren't betas in anything but name. Nobody said the Kindle Fire was a 'beta' product, it was shipped as 'fit for purpose', which reviews suggest it kind of wasn't. Likewise, Apple may have said Siri was a 'beta', but it's not as if you can buy a 4S without it, so it's effectively a component of the finished product. The game The Elder Scrolls : Skyrim on the PS3 is another example - there's a know code issue which makes that version of the game practically broken if you play it for over a given period of time.

They shipped these products and they took people's money. These products are just not finished. This just isn't on.

One does not simply walk into Mordor, even Google Maps says so.

Can still remember mine 21009889. I must've installed it a while before you did ;)

I suppose I could add it to Pidgin, but I don't often get much time to chat these days.

My wee smells of Christmas Pudding.

There is also some chance it may be flammable.
