I want and saw 13 Assassins last night that was showing as part of the Belfast Film Festival.
What a bloody brilliant film.
It's long, but it didn't feel long. There's lots of dialogue at the start, well, when I say "at the start" I'm talking the first 90 minutes of the film, but it's by no means frivolous, and it's actually very necessary as it sets the final act in perfect context.
It's not often we get the chance to see such epic Samurai films on the big screen anymore (at least it isn't for me) so this was a very welcome return to the genre and to the big screen.

The original was quite funny, so I'll probably watch the new one.
The chances are I won't bother going to the cinema. It's more of a "Blockbuster" film.
