Morning all,

Being sent off to Birmingham International today. I'll be sitting there for a few hours then riding back.
In other news I'm still waiting to be paid...I presume that the bank should update ~9ish? Or if it's not there now is it not going in today? :x

Feeling crap tbh, wasn't sure I should have driven in today...

Normal pay systems pay you at midnight (would be the one just gone) rather than at 9:00am. Every bank I've been with has shown this update from whenever it's gone through, they haven't waited until bank starting hours.

Which is odd seeing as I was told they put it through on Friday...

Hmm, again from experience, but most pay runs are done a number of days before the pay date in question, to allow for clearing. If a pay run was done on Friday, I wouldn't expect to see it until Thursday, given the bank holiday.

But by all means ring up HR and give them what for in the mean time. They could have given you cash or paid for an uprated transfer speed to rectify their mistake...

Unless they put a rush on it (Faster Payments) then transfers can take from 3 to 5 working days to appear although they are normally there fairly fast. If it was paid in on Friday then it may not appear until Thursday/Friday this week. It sucks but that's banks for you.

I have a feeling I am missing out on something. I'm not sure what, but there's a small nagging feeling going on. I wonder what it is.

Ah! Breakfast. That's what it was.

I hope it's good news, Caz.

We all I suspected I will be at Discovery full time once the sale goes through. Will mean early starts and lots of trains 5 days a week instead of 3. I will miss everyone I work with now of course but life goes on. Onwards and sideways and thanks for asking :)

Don't worry it will be much better once they finish rebuilding in 2015 or so. It shuts for nearly 10 days over Christmas. :D
