Nice and cool in the office, despite having 4 PCs and 2 set top boxes running around me

Potentially warm and noisy! Sun Ray FTW! :P

It's actually just the set top boxes that are the noisiest compared to the pc/personal servers

Home time soon, then off to fill up on the way up to Birmingham tonight, feel so tired, might get a can of Monster too

This bugs me.

Forty years ago this month, two human beings set foot on our rocky satellite. The Lunar Module base remained on the lunar surface when they left. On it is a plaque by way of commemoration.
Quote:
"HERE MEN FROM THE PLANET EARTH FIRST SET FOOT UPON THE MOON, JULY 1969 A. D. WE CAME IN PEACE FOR ALL MANKIND"

The pedant in me wonders whether the ones that concocted that paragraph even realised they'd also be leaving the first typographic error on the Moon as well.

(For those who don't know or actually care, AD (Anno Domini) should always precede the year. BC comes after.)

Sorry. It must be the weather. 8-)

What really matters is if whoever finds it is as aware of the convention as you are. Which I guess is doubtful. ;)

Our first piece of interplanetary litter - oh how proud we should be

Actually, part of the litter was reflectors that have been used for observational science ever since.

Astronomers bounce lasers off these reflectors and from that they've worked out the Moon is moving away by 38mm each year, the Earth's rotation is slowing, and even stuff about the composition of the Moon's surface. Groovy.

It also means the "no-one ever went to the Moon" conspiracy theories may not be correct after all. :|

I need stuff to feed my head. I'm getting stale. I've got absolutely no idea how to get this job I'm doing moving. I'm stuck shuffling bits and pieces about with no real idea how to make it better.

This stagnation in my head is really starting to hack me off. Where've all the exciting design ideas gone to? :x
