Good-oh, John.
I had an early night, because it got to around 8.30 last night and I began to enter a "long, dark teatime of the soul". I'd done everything useful I could do, and there seemed nothing else worth doing. So, went to bed, read a while, listened to a podcast, and dozed off.
Still, we're off to sunny Stony Stratford tomorrow, for a few more days R&R.

I know Stony Stratford. Friends of mine own the tattoo shop there and that's where I got my first tattoo done. Have fun!

Well, I'm not planning on a tat, that's for certain. We stay with friends while we're there. We're almost honorary family now!

Or the 18th century buildings, the tree John Wesley preached under in the 1700s, or the river, or the fields and roundabouts. We're hoping to find the remains of Wolverton Castle, too. There's a lot of history, to before the Romans, in what is now Milton Keynes. A bit like round here in Chavham, actually.

Yeah Stony town is lovely. Shame MK couldn't be more like it.

Let's hope Snowy isn't around, that could be taken as a slight criticism of Milton Keynes...

OK, here we go again... what the hell is wrong with MIlton Keynes? I lived there for about 14 years and I liked the place. It's not all concrete cows and roundabouts you know!

I quite like MK, although I find the centre a bit impersonal. I much prefer the smaller bits around the edges. Incidentally, last time we were there we found that Wolverton has worse potholes than Chatham.

I'm not sure when yet, but I will have to go to Wolverton at some stage, to visit my brother. For what it's worth I agree with you about the impersonality of the city centre, and I kinda findly remember the Wolverton Agora and the small shopping centre there, which Central Milton Keynes shopping centre killed off fairly quickly after opening.

It definitely IS all roundabouts. Can't comment on the cows as never seen them. My ex lives there so I haven't visited in many years, don't want to bump in to him!
