Heh. The promised wifi didn't materialise, for various reasons. We were too lazy to trek to the local hostelries to avail ourselves of their freeness. So we enjoyed the peace and quiet granted us by lack of electronic noise. Mind you, I've now got something over 350 images to sift. I may be a while.

It's okay, Heather. This is me you're talking to. I fully understand that it takes some people longer than others to deal with their images. Mark

It's unusual for me not to have spent hours processing and sifting immediately after the shoot, though.

Well yeah. But when one is working on a graduate salary, the cost of a commute from, say, here, is rather prohibitive.

I think budget was ~£900pcm-ish and work is close to Warren Street.

How much travelling are you willing to do? You'd be able to get somewhere in the nicer suburbs for less than that but you'd have to travel for 30mins-45mins to warren street. Failing that you could get somewhere fairly central towards the east but I'm more of a west London sort of person.

It's not actually for me, but TheFrenchun, but I think 30-40mins seems reasonable-ish.

About 2 minutes walk from me then. Happy to buy the coffee if you want to pop around.

Followers of fact will tell you it's Tuesday. I prefer to think of it as the day after yesterday, or the day before tomorrow. Or "not Wednesday". Perhaps "TFI Not Monday".

Since when have 'facts' proved anything? I'm reminded of a bit of a Pratchett book when he was explaining about the naming of goats. Goats, as it turns out, have several names some of which are ephemeral and purely relative. So, for example, a goat could for while be called 'Goat who is not the goat I'm talking about'. I think days should work the same way. Such that it doesn't actually matter what day it is, the important thing is today is 'a day which is not Saturday'. Jon

But if it doesn't actually matter what day it is, then you assigning special significance to Saturday is spurious. Mark

All the days are spurious. Someone decided they should have names and special significance back in Roman times, or whatever. Before that the Babylonians or someone worked out how many days and nights made up a year before the whole cycle sort of repeated. While I've been "unwaged", and Best Beloved is retired, every day is much the same as any other. Only the TV schedules really give us a clue as whether we're in a week day or not. I happen to think I really need to get some structure back to my weekly schedule, but it's quite hard to get back into a routine of getting up early when all you're going to do is waste the day anyway. I'm probably going to rename the days of the week. Like Arthur Dent, I never really got on with Thursdays, so I think I'll call the day before Friday Colin from now on.
