Afternoon. You're late today Simon. Busy day? Servers crashing around your ears and clients screaming?

Good mornin'

Matthew here. Dad's just showing me the forums

This is my first post on a forum ever, ever. Just been talking about photos of aircraft and notice that there's a photo comp on here. Might submit one if dad lets me sign up - would it be ok if I joined your little group? It seems kind'a cool ;)

Matty (aged 10)
If your Dad says it's cool to sign-up then yeah, welcome to the forums.
Anyone can join the photo comp, the only prize is that you get to pick the next month's theme.
Happy posting. (8+)

Mark

I've had meningitis and I thought the worst bit was the twice-daily blood tests until I had a lumbar puncture to drain off some of my cerebrospinal fluid. The first attempt missed too!

Hope all is well jonlumb; things have moved on a great deal since I had it. Three doctor's visits failed to diagnose the meningitis so my Dad got a medical symptom dictionary and went through it until one of the entries matched.

Back home now, all the tests came back clear which is good. Seems to have been a mix of gastroenteritis and flu, but given that both her sister and niece had it about 2 weeks ago and Tora had been in contact during the quarantine period it wasn't worth risking it.

FAIL n00b, it's cherry-cola, not Coca-Cola.

I thought it was originally coca-cola, but Aunty Beeb wouldn't allow brand-advertising, so it was changed for them? I did ponder this prior to posting. Let me research some more. This lecture's a bit dull.

Well, since further investigation does indeed point to your argument being based in fact, I am now happy to accept your version. However, the accepted version of the song, released as the single with amended lyrics to appease Auntie Beeb, is the one most of us know and love.

Afternoon all,

Looks like I've been dropped in it... Was told this morning that I have to cover an English class this afternoon. No prep, no materials, no nothing.

Apparently everyone else knew about it 2 weeks ago but nobody thought to mention it to me.

Oh well...

Have a great day everyone.

:)

Good luck rising to the challenge

Thanks!

I've had this class before and to say that they are "challenging" would be an understatement.

I'm taking the attitude that since I've had no prior warning I will be supporting the session, not leading it, so that'll make it a bit easier.
