Hi all,

The time has come where I reckon a contract might be worthwhile....
I use my phone mainly for texts, but chew through about £15 of talk time every month (being charged at around 20p/min). I'm currently with Orange as a PAYG customer and get 300 free texts a month of which I use around 200.

Could someone recommend me a contract for ~£15-£20/month where I'd get some sort of free/upgrade/cheap phone and still be able to keep my number? Or is that an unrealistic dream?

I've had a look around, but I'm damned if I can understand what they're all talking about...Plus I don't know what phones are good, what are bad, what is a good deal and what is a bad deal...

My current phone is a Sony Ericsson k750i, I really like the phone, but the joystick p155s me off as it rarely works...

Any advice would be fantastic, :)

Ben

Do you need to change phones? There are some good SIM only deals about.

No, my phone will do me, but a new phone would be nice...My main issues are price and keeping my number.

What about that Tesco deal (thread somewhere in the first couple of TMP pages), could you make it work for you?

Would they let you swap number I wonder since it's essentially a 'contract sim'? :?

That was the deal that I was thinking of. It was only a couple of days ago, £6 a month, I think.

It looks really good, cheers Ernie :D

Some of their £10/month deals look really good too, I may look at the £20/month too, but the £6/month is excellent!

If you start with the £6, then you can upgrade if you find you are spending more every month.

I was thinking that as well. I am planning to switch to Tesco for the iPhone but will have to wait till the end of the year anyway, this could be a nice fill in.
