I've just been to Legoland (Yay!) but this tune was playing at one location in the park and I can't identify it. I've no idea what it's called, but my wife and I both think that it features in a film. Can you name the tune, the film, or both? This is a fairly poor recording of the tune made using an on-screen virtual keyboard. It is by no means perfect, but it should give you an idea. After playing this bit a couple of times, it launches into a kind of grand chorus with much longer notes. (You can tell I'm no musician, but I do love my music) http://www.jones143.fsnet.co.uk/forcpc/ ... 20tune.wma |

I unleashed Shazam on your WMA, and it suggested "The Vow" by Stuart Jones. You can listen to a preview here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001 ... 169&sr=8-1 |

![]() Never heard of it, and my playing obviously can't be that good, because it's nothing like it. I chose the piano from the choice of instruments available because it gave the simplest reproduction. The music is, in fact, synthesised. Thanks for the attempt. ![]() It is a known tune. Surely someone can ID it. |

My bad. I'd uploaded what I thought was a slightly better version (it isn't, much) and I'd accidentally labelled it with a small letter- the original link has a capital U. Fixed |

It strikes me as quite a recent tune for some reason... ![]() |

Sounds to me like Vangelis from 1492 Conquest of Paradise http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYeDsa4Tw0c Worked on the Oriana when she launched and it became the unofficial theme tune for the ship. |

Yes, this is what I thought also but I couldn't think of the name at all. |

That's the one! Thanks a million. Apart from the fact I really like it, it always bugs me when I can't place something. I didn't think that the "verse" was piano, but some is and some is singing. The "chorus" is clearly synthesised. As a Vangelis track, I'm not surprised. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

It sounded like "My Bonny Lies over the Ocean" to me. ![]() |

I know it wasn't great- although I can play the keyboard a little, the on-line, on-screen keyboard wasn't much good either. It did the trick, though and we've just ordered Odyssey by Vangelis which features this track. |

Yeah its the opening scene from 1492-Conquest of Paradise. Love the music from that film but never sat and watched the film itself ![]() |
