Conversation at work that ended up in slightly weird territory:

If you pay to have sex with a hooker, then steal the money afterwards, is it classed as rape? Bearing in mind that the consent was only provided on the basis of the payment.

Consent to sex is consent to sex. What you've done is theft, because the money was theirs before you stole it back, otherwise you couldn't have stolen it.

I think it's just theft.
Technically, she was a willing partner to the act (motivated by money, regardless) so I don't think it's classed as rape.
You, sir, are therefore still a scum bag for stealing her hard earned.
Interestingly, I'm not certain it's at all illegal to give a woman money for receiving sex, if that's your agreement.

Hypothetically.

So in that case - can you give consent on a condition?

So - yes I'll have sex with you, but only if you are actually as good looking as Megan Fox and it's not just the beer goggles? If she then tells you she is as good looking as Megan, but then you realise she's a munter in the morning can you get her done for rape?

No it would probably be theft, but then everyone would know that you had been with a prostitute and robbed her.

Well, come on, we've all played Grand Theft Auto, right?

Yep, it's theft. If you didn't pay her, it would be fraud. I don't think anyone would consider it a good thing if someone could withdraw consent retrospectively and claim rape due to that.

Theft / robbery.

Not quite sure what the difference is between the two but certainly not rape.
