Finally, after months of begging, pleading and numerous phone calls to hospital, got a date for mum’s operation, which will be over 6 months since her artificial ankle joint broke. Yes, that’s 6 months. With a broken ankle. Pleased she’s got a date but I’m still angry at how she’s been made to suffer all this time!

I'm sure I've mentioned it on here (as well as to patients at work). Labour did a lot of things, some of which I disagree with but one of the things they did was pump lots of money into the NHS. There was a point where you could be referred to a knee specialist for arthritis, seen in a week, surgery within six weeks, and complete recovery six weeks after that. Now it takes three months just to see a specialist. Waiting times to see a consultant for the first time in rarer specialties (like neurology) is about a year. Courtesy of the Tories.

Can you stick it on a hard drive and post it? I assume that's a online backup of some sort.

I'm going though a template for my will (my uncle died aged 68 recently, and it got me thinking).

It's worth doing folks if you haven't already. The amount of stuff you may not have thought about until now... I used these links just to print off a rough template to get me started:

Is it just me or does that new Bond trailer look AWFUL?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTnDYxwhSaI

If nothing else the editing is shocking, but the dialogue seems especially clunky :?

I can't recall a Bond trailer that bad in my lifetime :o

I stopped watching about half way through. It just didn't appeal to me. Then again, I've not really taken with any of Craig's Bond films.

Do you ever stop and think "Geez, I am such a ducking amateur"?

I've got a PC set up underneath the TV, which I use as a media centre. It's not powerful enough to play 4K videos.

I've got a decent PC upstairs, and the plan was to transplant the innards of that, (tower case) into the downstairs case, (A desktop case) and use the old PC upstairs, in conjunction with the Mac Mini.

In the two or three years that I've had the Mac I hadn't even considered Bootcamp to install Windows as a second OS.

Amateur, I tellz ya!

Will I ever be arsed with all the DIY jobs I should be doing in the month+ I'm off work?

Whether 2020 will be a better year or not. There's been a lot of close family/personal issues this year.

I've found it falls to the bottom. I've done off Pringles for a while. I love the Max Strong Jalapeno & Cheese crisps that Walkers do but over the past month, I've switched to eating nuts from Graze (which is expensive even if you go for those large packs) and popcorn. It's helped my waistline too.

Bought them just because I happened to be in Tesco, not a mistake I'll be making again. Part of the reason I lost a load of weight was so many snacks or whatever were starting to taste like, well, crap.

Crisps of every description tasted OK but the texture was totally wrong or vice versa. Came off the Coke because it just had a chemical taste to it. Chocolate bars are so small now you need two of them to get the same 'hit'. And so on. So fcuk that noise.
