Ok, here's the first round of the new forum poll. I've tried to reflect the fact that we're aiming for a Top 10 (as that's what sparked the debate) so except for the final round (which will be the ordering of the 10) there will be at least 2 entries going through, and you'll have as many votes as entries going through. I would urge people to at least try listening to all the tracks, although having listened to basically all of them myself, I'm not going to make an insistence on it being all the way through or anything Round 1 is going to be 10 tracks, and the Top 4 will go through, so 4 votes each. Tracks are as follows: Free - All Right NowPearl Jam - BlackSantana - She's Not ThereZZ Top - Gimme All Your LovingIron Maiden - Phantom O The OperaMetallica - WhiplashWhitesnake - Here I Go AgainJudas Priest - Living After MidnightBachman Turner Overdrive - You Ain't Seen Nothing YetThe Beatles - Twist And ShoutEach round will run for the usual 7 days, and I'll try and start them first thing Tuesday morning each week (reminders are allowed!). No changing once you've voted, it'll just get too complicated so think first!!

Some goodies this time round!
Metallica, of course, then Iron Maiden, ZZ Top and finally Judas Priest.

Definitely. There are others worth voting for, but that's the cream of the crop by a country mile.

Metallica, Maiden, ZZ and Bachman Turner.
Bloody tough group to choose from. Jon, are these randomly selected or are you being evil?

Listening to Maiden makes me feel like I'm 12 again I love "She's not there" but the Santana cover is pointless. I love Priest, but seriously... did anyone nominate one of their better tracks? Metallica - best metal band ever, but not the best track. Pearl Jam - very deep & pretty, but not my idea of Rock 'n' Roll. No disrespect; great band. "Here I go again" was cool the first time around; I actually bought it on vinyl. I find myself ashamed of it now. The Beatles, Twist & Shout - now that is Rock 'n' Roll! Preferred the Twiggy version though ZZ Top - again, that is Rock 'n' Roll! And I hate to say it, but so is Bachman Turner Overdrive. Legendary track. Nice.
