It's starting now on Channel 4!
If I'd known it was at Leeds Bradford I'd have driven there!

Also, you need to watch from the beginning.

Very good and I admit I was in tears at the end, but...
Why all the brouhaha about it being live?
Apart from the bits with Derren saying this is live and the very end about the numbers 8,9,10 Etc. it was all edited?
In fact those bits could have been filmed "as live" and dubbed in, so why???
Don't get me wrong a very good show and one I thoroughly enjoyed, but Derren does nothing without a reason in his shows, especially mis-information and the live stuff just seemed too much set-up with no pay off.

Yeah, I agree. I did think the live bit was a bit odd.
The only reason I can see for making the point that it was live is to get the 08/09/10 11:12 bit in at the end.
Also, he started the 30 day timer at the end of the show. Does this means there's another show coming soon...?
Loved the show though. Was almost in tears at the end too!

I did wonder if they were going to launch another show off the back of this, but it does risk becomingjust another self help show a la Paul McKenna - not something I want to see.
Will have to wait and see and loose all trust in everyone I meet 'cause they may be stooges for Derren and I am the centre of the next show.
Well it could happen...????

My brother's girlfriend is working on the television crew for this, she's going to be in the 'plane' and she's going to be a traffic warden IIRC.

Looking forward to watching this - if you can, go and see him live. It's brill. I missed being on stage by an inch... if that frisbee had been any lower...

Are you guys serious? I thought this show was awful, I'm in two minds as to how staged it was. If it was completely honest then I feel for the subject(victim) as he was cruelly exploited in the name of entertainment, turned into Derren's plaything. I don't agree that the end justifies the means, if it was all fro real then there were so many dangerous things that could have gone so wrong e.g. the rail track stunt where the guy could easily have hurt himself in his struggle to get out of the way of the train.
At least in Big Brother those who put themselves forward do so willingly and have given consent, in this case the whole show was broadcast without the guy's consent, cameras in his bedroom without his consent, Derren playing with his mind for 30 days without his consent.
My feelings are most of it was staged, and Derren's undoubted skills are now becoming a dangerous, drawn out, freak show.

I still haven't finished watching it and not sure I will. That guy didn't seem to have many different clothes!

There's a Q&A on his website answering a few people's questions about the show. Someone asked something that I noticed about film references and he answered saying there were more than had been asked about A couple that I spotted were... When he was talking to the guy in his back garden about the countdown was very Donnie Darko with the rabbit. (Especially with him going to the golf course the next day). When he was in the petrol station being held at gun point was a reference to Fight Club with the Chinese man. There were some others but I can't think of them at the moment.
