I thought I might get in before the rush! I shalll vote when I get back home tonight. It helps that the polling station is a 20 second slow meander away. I may not like the so called "democratic process" we have. but by jimminy I will use my right to vote for the looniest person I can find/spoil the ballot/actually vote sensibly delete as applicable

I voted by post last week. Let's hope Labour get a good kicking. But not quite good enough to make Brown quit, that way they'll get an even bigger kicking at the next general election.

I'll be voting when I get home. Had to go to the post office to collect a parcel this morning so ran out of time.

Glad I read the Meeting Place this morning as I would have forgotten, I'm training staff on late shift so need to vote before I go into work.
Cheers for the reminder

I'm not doing a 750 mile round trip for the pleasure of voting

I already have. My polling station is just across the road, so I nipped in before coming to work. I was a bit confused that they hadn't sent out polling cards though. I was handed the voting 'slip' on what appeared to be a roll of wallpaper. God there are some eejits who think we might be willing to vote for them. That and at least three parties basically standing on an identical platform. Jon

We too thought better of a 600 mile round trip but getting and using a postal vote wasn't very difficult so we voted two weeks ago. Sharks

I was going to make my marks on the way to work this morning, but scheduling meant I would have missed the sweet spot in the traffic.
I'm going to do it in a more relaxed way on the way home now. Our polling station is the local village hall, which is an awkward couple of junctions to get through, and they're easier of an evening than in the morning.
We won't know the EU results until late on Sunday, because most European countries are sensible and vote on Sundays. I think we should change to that scheme, too. No need to close schools on polling day then.

Some countries have laws forcing you to vote........ Lucky we don't have that here.

You could have applied for a postal vote.
