The real story is that Flash has 97% market share, but iOS overtaking Linux and Android is impressive. I still hate Flash and surf without it most of the time. |

I hope to be insufferable one day, but till then I am a pussy cat.  Flash has 97% market share? I am not thinking too clearly today what does that mean? a) 97% have it on their computer included in the browser b) 97% of websites use it as part of their site c) Something else

I have found that my machines are far more stable with Flash blocked. I still have to use it at times but at least I can do things without it crashing my browser. Yes the fact that iOS has now overtaken Linux and Android probably shows that the uptake of Android might be slowing. |

Unless they stick Apache in their app store, I would hazard that Linux still has a slight lead in terms of devices connected the intertubes. |

Probably by a very long way. I thought that most Servers are linux based simply because of their stability. |

I think it is more that iOS has about an 18 month or so headstart, Android is still selling well, but the Linux market is still relatively small and not growing fast, so the iOS sales mean that they have overhauled Linux, but expect Android to continue catching up. |

Also add in iPod Touch can now use iOS and that boosts numbers considerably. iOS is a new OS but if you consider that many older devices could be updated to it then the numbers swell very quickly. Though this will be a one off boost. |

All iPhones, iPod Touches etc. have alw<ys used iOS, it was re-branded, but it is the same OS as it has always been... |
