Post subject:  Cheap books?
Where do you get your books from?

I tend to use Amazon as their prices are reasonable and sometimes play.com. Can anyone recommend any others as I'm after the last 2 books of the Larsson Millenium trilogy. Nearly finished the Dragon Tattoo one and I'm hooked!

I tend to buy most of my books 2nd hand on ebay.

I usually pay about £2-£3 shipped.

It can be quite hard to get a decent book from a library nowdays. They seem to think books are things that no longer belong to the "modern" library. :evil: :x

I think it depends on the library. We've just had a thing through from Kent County Council telling us we can borrow ebooks from our library :o . I'm also lucky that we're not far from the main county depository, so getting a book isn't too shabby round these parts.

I have used the library recently but I'm constantly having to renew them as I don't think they give you enough time. Anyway some books I like to own and I do re-read the good ones.

I always keep an eye out for BOGOF at places like Tesco. Also ASDA seem to do the top 20 books for less then £4 a pop. I went in for the next (old) Reacher book only to find the latest one was actually cheaper!

I might still have the Millenium 2 & 3 at home if you want me to send them to you (the 1st one went to the charity shop).

How do you borrow eBooks? More to the point, have people heard of the Gutenberg Project? The book they seem may be there.

Our library is somewhat large and spacious and full of air and space. I’ve never got a library card, and have never borrowed a book from it.

They seem to prefer to fill the space with artwork than books:

Depends on the book but usually Amazon, Abe or ebay (Abe for some technical ones can be easier to get than Amazon)

Would you mind? That would be fab! I'm a Reacher fan too so if there's any of those books you don't have I can scan my collection.

If you like Reacher have you read any books by James Lee Burke? He's done a series of books set in New Orleans featuring a hero called Dave Robicheaux (starts off as a cop in the early books but leaves the force later on). Great reads. My Dad got me on to him last year. Let me know if you want any and I'll return the favour!

Not read James Lee Burke. I tried a Jake Kereley book and that was good. A James Patterson book co-authored with someone else (Lewidge?) featuring Carson Ryder was cracking too. I'll let you know if I fancy anything, I'm swamped atm.
