maybe so you can get rid of the reflections in the glass on the right.
if you work for Industrial Light & Magic or Pixar ;)

You'd need to have it in RAW rather than native JPEG and you'd need a half decent editing package. And some skillz ;) . But it could be done. The point is I think what you either need is obvious reflection or no reflection. Both of those look like the shot was planned for them. Just a bit of reflection is a bit.. ambiguous.

Also the dress looks nicely well-defined on my monitor, maybe up your gamma correction?

I was running 2.2 and shifting to 1.8 does bring the detail up a lot more. I'd still like a bit more definition but that's just my personal preference. It's his photo at the end of the day.

I have no idea what that means but I'll assume it wasn't an enormous compliment, and that it's also a fair cop .

Nice collection.

Well you learn something new every day. I knew it was the same round, but not the same mag. Although I wonder how many M16 mags the average British grunt comes across in the field these days....

Thanks for all the positive comments guys. I was really pleased with that shot. And I take on board the criticism about the dress, I did fiddle a little bit, but it started to look too processed very quickly. As always, it was only taken on a Pana compact.

And yeah Prof, could ALMOST be the bay. But it's 17 storeys above the capital of the island! They do a really nice lunch :)

Here's one taken by Sara herself where I liked the reflections:

Why are you burning someone's hands in a gallon of petrol? Also that ghostly dolls house is scary. Can I just say, it's not Halloween yet!

They were a glorious collection of o'hagens sausages. Pork and apple, Boar and apple and a spicy one called satans fingers.
Moments before I too that photo it was a normal BBQ. then whoosh!!!

The dolls house was from the enchanted princess exhibition at Kensington palace.
