I'm sure we've had threads like this in the past but I'm nosey and like to hear about other people.

Where do you work / live? Have you stayed near where you were born or like some of the expats worked and lived in other countries?

I was born in Barnet notrth London and now live about 5 miles away in Enfield,

I work in the City and West London as my job is split between 2 offices at the moment, soon to change to be permanently in West London in about 6 weeks.

I was born in Dorchester, Dorset. Went to Uni in Southampton and stayed there when I left, then went to London for a few year. Came back down here 9 years ago and don't plan on leaving.

Born in Lesta.
Home home is a small (as in proper small) village near to Rugby.
I spent a year in Farnborough, Hampshire working at BAE Systems (MAS).
Now back at uni, in Bath. I live in Oldfield Park, with most all the other students.
I'm currently sat in the 4E lounge, on campus. If I had miPod I'd've checked into 4sq accordingly, but that's in Lahndon.

Born in RCH
Spent 28 years within the Camborne-Pool-Redruth cornurbation (as demographers call it) which has held the dubious title of most economically depressed area in the EU.
Moved out to the Roseland (a couple of miles away from THE Fraggle Rock lighthouse on the south coast) to live in the flat at work.

End. Wow, that's a pretty boring summation.

Seems most people have moved for work and/or uni, but not much else. Is that correct? How do people feel about it?

Lived all my young life in Askern (just north of Doncaster) up to 16.
From 16-18 I stayed living in Askern but travelled almost everyday to Pontefract for college.
After college I worked all over doing different jobs in Ironbridge, [LIFTED], Beckenham, Guildford and Peterborough but always came back home to Askern.
At age 20 I decided to go to Uni and chose Coventry. I stayed there 4 years including a year at Jaguar, Browns Lane HQ.
After uni I went back home to Askern for a few months before moving to Nottingham* for work. That was when I was 23 and I'm now 31.

*one of my jobs in Notts involved working away a lot - but never more than 2 nights - including central London, Truro, Exeter, Swansea, Aberdeen, Derby, Hull, Bristol
