Well I recently got the Nokia and it has really suprised me. Its much much better than I was expecting. The touchscreen works really well, when texting you can use an alphanumeric keypad or switch to full qwerty keyboard, wi-fi works perfectly, audio quality is pretty good, and Ive even managed to watch a couple of videos (convert using Nokia Internet Tablet Video Convertor). Its just feels nice to use and quite intuitive, e.g. if you want to set the alarm just touch the little alarm bell or clock on the main screen. Not like my last phone when you had to go through 3 or 4 menus to get there. Its got an app store, BBC iPlayer, RealPlayer, fairly good camera, etc etc.
I cant say anything about the other phone but would recommend the 5800.

I currently have an htc Touch Pro, it is excellent, so I would definitely push towards the 3D. That said, the new iPhone 3G S seems to cross most of the features that were missing when I went for the Touch Pro...

From those two, the HTC is a no brainer for you.

Since switching, (back) to Windows Mobile I can't really recommend anything else.

I find a lot of people criticise it, but for those interested in tweaking it the XDA forum is full of useful stuff and news, installed Opera 9.7 turbo beta on my phone and it makes browsing much nicer than stock IE

I have the i900 Omnia, and though it's a lovely piece of kit and I would recommend it in a heartbeat, the Omnia II is about to be released so I'd wait for that.

Not the 905. Oli will back me and the latest word from my mate at CPW is still avoid it.
I'd still say HTC Touch, but I've no experience of the Samsung.

Couldn't agree more. I've had the Omnia since it was first released and I think it's probably the best 'phone I've ever had. The Omnia 2 should be even better.
