Since you can only consume 2.5Watts from a USB port without destroying your laptop, I can't understand how this could possibly heat up anything bigger than a single bean

It all seems to hinge on this: 'Heinz claims that snacks can be warmed in under a minute thanks to intense heating action from a combination of cell phone and radio frequencies' But I don't pretend to understand it  EDIT - Yes, my initial thought was 'hoax' too, but I can't really figure out why they'd bother since it isn't April

It would be awesome if it did work but I'm thinking hoax too. Microwave ovens use so much energy because they need to to generate all those microwaves! |

It looks like one of those USB cup warmers rather than a microwave. Is it just me, I find microwaves rather fascinating, heating your food by exciting molecules in the food. |
