Sometimes it's grand, other times I just get the buffering symbol - this is whether I'm on the PC or PS3.

And it seems to be a problem at their end, cos the 'highlights' on the PS3 and other options shrink, but exit and come back, they're fine (sometimes) :?

Anyone else having any problems with it? iPlayer I mean ;)

Listening to radio programmes I've missed I do seem to get the buffering symbol quite a lot over the past day or so.

iPlayer is fine and dandy here, but then we're on cable and the speed isn't an issue.

When we still struggled with a bit of wet string ADSL, it was painful.

I'm currently on ADSL, but the connection's rock solid (buggy-ass Black Ops. actually proves that :) ).

Isn't there an ongoing issue between the beeb and ISPs regarding iplayer bandwidth use?

20 meg line here, and I sometimes have to turn it off because it becomes unwatchable; due to buffering.

You may be seeing traffic shaping in action from your isp. I wasnt able to watch iplayer at all in the evening with O2 but i have switched to a non-shaping ISP and i NEVER get any buffering anymore.
Both ISPs use BT for their backhaul and my exchange has no llu suppliers.

(isp is now XILO).

It's only recently though (O2), and sometimes it's fine for ages. It also doesn't explain the behaviour of the player itself, does it? :?
