So, what did you all think then?

I've just got back from seeing it - I'm going to give it 24hrs before I comment any further.

Will be going, but just bought the first 6 BDs and just finished Philosophers. What a load of wank. Very excited to move past the Chris Columbus stage.

Have you read the books and what's with the comment embargo?

I'll wait until it airs on TV, and then watch something else instead.

I will wait for the box set, or watch it on the TV.

Nope, not read the books, and just want time to digest the 2hr 45m sprawl that it is.
And I was knackered, I'd just be parroting things the people I saw it with thought.

Totally understandable. Most of the people I could see it with are book freaks, so I'm not going with them. Just finished Chamber. I knew the Columbus films were awful, but I'd forgotten quite how bad they are. The running times are ludicrous, given the pace and the acting from the kids.

Muchly looking forward to Hallows. I await your views with anticipation and will hopefully form my own very soon.

Just looking at the review scores/opinions on the movie sites I visit, it's '3 out of five' and 'average' all the way so far* :|

*It doesn't interest me personally, book or film.

That's because they're judging it as a movie and not as the penultimate part of a saga. And 3 out of 5 ain't bad for kids nonsense with wooden central actors ;)

I started reading Harry Potter but i think its a bit far fetched. I can buy the fact that magic exist's & that there could be such things as unicorns & wizards .. But a ginger kid with two mates ! . . That's just taking the piss!
