Yeah, that's something I'm considering. I know that the people I'm going with will be taking lots of photos and videos, and I have a habit of leaving my camera in my pocket. When I'm enjoying myself I just forget basically that I've got a camer. It's just not top of my priorities. I might take it and give it to somebody else to take photos with.

How long you staying? Only thing I see missing is a big bag of green, some king-size and a spare lighter. Food-wise, you can't under-estimate how much soft drink you need. Along with tasty stuff, Tesco 15p 2 litre bottles of water - at least two per person per day. You'll probably meet people dying of dehydration, so if you can carry it then consider it a public service. I know you said it already - but if it's hot, you'll need loads. A loaf or two of plain white bread is good for settling the stomach and general hunger - I squidge a slice up into a ball after eating the crusts. It's bulky though, so plain biscuits are good if you have to carry it. Too many sweets and booze make me sick. If you don't want to take a digicam or mobile, then consider a disposable camera. Doesn't matter much if you lose it, but it's there if you want it. Don't forget your towel. Have a riot

A quick look at Google Maps or Street View for the trip itself maybe?

Four nights. I forgot to mention the ravioli, too and the fact that my mate is taking a gas canister camping heater thingy. I'm sure that will be sorted. I've got a 5 litre bottle, and I'm assuming there will be drinking water available to refill with. Good shout, I might take some fruit loaf. Great - I had completely forgotten! I'll take two. Thanks. As for the route, it should be straight forward. I'm getting a train to southampton and throwing my gear in my mates car then hopping on the ferry. From east cowes I understand there is a free bus right to the camp-site! By the way, anyone going to the festival get in touch. LOL, I said that as a joke - thought you'd included that in your "etc". I'm guessing you remembered suitable sleeping bags? If it's 4 days, you might want to consider a few odd things: String and a few clothes pegs for drying things, although the bin bags are good for taking muddy stuff home in. Hopefully it will be dry, but I'm listening to rain right now... You've got the alcohol rub, insect stuff and sun cream but you might want to throw in a few more first-aid bits and maybe a hotel size bottle of shower gel. Nail clippers and emery board are handy if you need them - It's amazing how annoying a ripped nail can be, especially if it's on your toe in a sleeping bag. Bog Roll. I'll probably add to this as I remember stuff I wish I'd remembered! But seriously; Bog Roll.

And stinging nettles. Neither are very nice when they've been trampled by 5000 people

I was going to suggest buying the cheapest PAYG mobile you can find, but since you kindly gave the whole world and his dog your number I won't bother.

I'm sure that will be sorted. [/quote] that explains the really scary faces Im quite surprised that Mr Nick is not overly "keen" on keeping the memories on digital pics, If I went literally anywhere ie concert and party etc id be lost and so gutted and agitated if I didnt take my camera
