To be honest, I preferred Chronicles. Pitch Black was a little too grusome for me. I liked it much better after I had watched Chronicles.

Really? I got bored with Chronicles about half an hour in, only just managed to keep awake until the end. Pitch Black, on the other hand, I thought was excellent.

The world needs more sci-fi, a bit too much fantasy over the last few years imo.

I enjoyed both Pitch Black and Chronicles. In fact I even liked Dark Fury (Animated link between the two films).
Looking forward to more…

I liked Pitch Black and Chronicles too but IMO they were completely different styles. Not sure if this was intentional. Looking forward to the next installment.

I also liked bot Pitch Black and Chronicles.
Pitch Black was a claustrophobic job in a similar vein to Alien IMO whereas Chronicles significantly expanded the universe.

Riddick is an awesome character who is full of awesome. I hope the new film will be awesome.

I thought Pitch Black was a rip-off of the Alien franchise, I like and preferred Chronicles.

I felt the same. I can quite happily watch Chronicles again. It was not that bad a film. Thandie Newton was gorgeous as well.
