Obviously that's more Yank-centric, but still, how much content are you buying?

Personally, I buy online content about five times a year (if that), and it's only ever been the odd music track and a cheap PSN download... probably wouldn't even total £10 :)

I've never thought that I spend a lot, but compared to that average it seems that I do!

- About £20 a year on iPhone applications
- £10 per month for Spotify
- £10 per month on LoveFilm (which I use to watch movies online as well as physical DVDs)
- Occasional downloads on Xbox Live (map packs etc)

the odd game off Steam, if they are cheap or on sale. i dont usually spend more than £10 per game, and rarely more than 3 a month.

I've been gifted stuff on Steam, but I very rarely buy on-line content for personal use. The odd piece of software, but probably nothing in the last 5 years.

Buy plenty of stuff at work such as Logmein Rescue. Expensive, but I'm not paying for it and it's easier than the alternatives.

I do spend a fortune on the Interwebs, but it's all physical stuff that gets delivered. The most expensive stuff is usually alcoholic.

I think for this, it's best I ignore the medical apps.

I bought the two extra map sets for COD:MW on PS3.

iPhone: may be a total of £30-40 over the last year or so? Mostly game apps but I've also downloaded 5-6 books from Amazon.

I probably spend a fair amount, £16/month on LoveFilm (disks only), the odd iPhone app, the odd Steam game, though I really wouldn't call any of that online content as it all gets downloaded and installed to a local disk of some sort....

MobileMe is around £60 per year. Flickr is about £16 a year.

I've bought maybe a fiver's worth of choons from Apple in the past year.

And, um, that's it.

I spend almost nothing on online content. I think Coda / Pixelmator was the last thing I purchased. When it comes to music I very much prefer to have a physical disk in my hand, and I don't use much software.

It's funny. I shop on the interwebs like girls shop in town.

I save a fortune by spending loads of money on fantastic bargains for shiz I don't really need

The one thing that frustrates me is that I would buy music and video as downloads, but it's usually cheaper and safer to buy it on disk. Even downloaded games are often cheaper in the shops as a retail pack!

Major household items I generally save a fortune buying on the web but I can't say I buy much content as such, software licences / updates but that's about it. I tend to buy music on CD and copy it to PC.

Yeah, that's been me for years now  , and the various industries have no idea how rich they'd actually be if they sorted out their online pricing I reckon...

A few Euros on iPhone and Windows Phone 7 apps.

MobileMe, Carbonite, Audible, Evernote and a couple of other services. Audible is probably the only one that counts as "content" as opposed to service.

ooh, i thought this thread was just for internet-bought software/services, not IRL stuff too :?

as far as that goes, im on a similar level with my Steam buying. nothing over a tenner, its all stuff i really want and i try to regulate how many times a month i shop
