Morning all,

Received the letter... I've got a meeting on August 2nd, where they complete the redundancy process.

Oh well... semi-secret plans are still being made :D

Have a great day everyone.

Afternoon all.

Have a great day folks.
From darkness we came
To darkness we will return
But for however brief a time
We burn with passion and fire
Enough to eclipse a thousand suns

Morning all.
Managed to drag my arse out of bed this morning, got my ladder from the lockup and got to work by 8am.
Just made a major network change for a customer so hopefully it'll work.

All this before I've had my coffee as well

Lo peeps

Wife is complaining she has to get up 20 minutes earlier to run me into work. It's not my fault the car died (well apparently it is but you know what I mean). Off through to Inverness tomorrow to see the consultant rheumatologist (sp?) followed by car hunting - Vauxhall, Ford, Honda, Skoda (I know  ), VW and SEAT.

Was offered a diesel 1.3 Astra yesterday despite me saying 1.6/1.8 petrol or 1.7 diesel minimum  Apparently it was an offer I couldn't refuse. I refused it.

Funnily enough, the five minutes of training I got yesterday for a new line of work here wasn't enough - I detest this Mickey Mouse operation :x

Morning World,

My head is playing "It's 5 o'clock somewhere" to me today, I suspect it's a hint, but I'm ignoring it. Slow day today, my boss doesn't work fridays, my boss is at the hospital and my 2 bosses are both travelling today. I plan to catch up on my extra-curricular work by doing some desk assessments, having a good look at the spare chairs and writing my job description (must be done by end of August) as well as a fair amount of mucking about on t'internet and bunking off.

I don't get Fridays like these very often, so I'm going to enjoy it. I also have to spend a bit of time trying to hunt down a source of caffeine-free coffee, it must be caffeine-free, not decaffeinated and it doesn't seem to be around much in the UK, I have found a place you can order it from in the US which looks ok, but I'm not sure what the P&P charges will be like.

It's Global Gathering at Long Marston this weekend so we'll be staying in as much as possible, the cones and temp traffic lights are already up at the end of our road and it's going to be a noisy few nights, I hope it rains a lot during the evenings

Well, I'm on a downwards slope today, better get on with it eh?

Greetings.

I have some plans, some things that need doing, and plenty of time to do it.

Thing is, I'd rather be doing something entirely different. I think I shall have to make myself do the boring stuff and give myself the fun stuff as a reward later.

I predict I'll make it to 10am...

Feeling really crap today. Oh well, at least I've got this evening's train journey to look forward to. Oh, wait. Bugger.
