Jesus [LIFTED]' Christ, can we stop updating absolutely everything?

Today it was my antivirus, phone apps, and two Playstations (three if I was using the PS3) and their games. You can't even use apps and programs until some loada sh1te you don't need has slowed your device right down before taking forever to download and install.

The antivirus is fair enough, but the rest is just some absolute BS nobody needs.

We can stop the updates, when people stop finding serious security issues with the software. New features are another matter, but security issues are serious, like the zero-day in Chrome this week, with the recommendation that users should immediately restart their Chrome browsers.

Security I've no problems with, but this is polishing a turd, usually. The most common thing is an 'update' that floods an app with ads or somehow breaks parts of it by adding features precisely nobody needed.

Yeah, but when I lose, I lose with my chin up.

If I'm already in the doghouse, I'll be damned if I'm going down quietly.

Bloody British Airways.
They've cancelled a flight I'm booked on, and automatically booked me on 'the best alternative flight', ie the same flight the following day.
No BA, the best alternative flight is a code share flight your have with JAL just one hour earlier than my original flight.
Muppets.
At least they changed it when I phoned them.

Drove my daughter to a medical appointment yesterday and had to park in a nearby road as there were no spaces next to the surgery. This was just in front of a semi detached house in a normal street. I pulled up behind a parked car and there was nothing behind me and no parking restrictions. I was not blocking anyone's drive.

After the appointment, came back to the car to find some c**t had parked his white (of course!) van literally three inches from my rear bumper so there was no way to get out. While my other half phoned the business number on the van, I rang at the nearest house to see if they knew whose van it was. Turned out the clichéd fat balding big-bellied bastard within WAS the van owner and he obviously did not want anyone parking in HIS space outside HIS house. He acted like he was doing me a great favour by condescending to move his van...which he did at a snail's pace...so I could get out. I could not believe how petty he was being.

The thing is, if you are going to be a [LIFTED] to people, it's best not to do it right outside your home where people now know your van and your address.

After having had a similar experience (blocked in, no fat balding guy), I've since learnt to park so I can full-lock and pull out. Doesn't always work as sometimes the car in front drives off and a larger car parks, blocking you in.

Had a look online and it seems like a good idea. Anyone here ever sent or received one?
