Report: Ben Affleck to star in 3 stand-alone Batman movies | Den of Geek

That could explain why Cavill doesn't say much in that three minute trailer  :P

Affleck really will be 'old man Batman' if that story's right... My guess is there'll be a character handover, though there's some glaring age differences in the wider universe as it is.

As someone who saw it decades later, she was very memorable, especially considering they had hobbled the show in evry way possible!

Hobbled?

Strange term for that show lol, but yeah, by that stage the budget had been slashed and they were filming non-stop cos it was all done on the fly. Including the scripts and recycled sets.

The show never gave me the impression that it was a big budget thing lol

Part of the reason it came about at all was the era - an entire family sat in front of their first colour TV set*. That was crucial, it HAD to be a hit. It cost a fortune back then to produce and film in colour. So you had massive 'death traps' giving you a cliffhanger every episode, action for the kids and knowing jokes for the adults, a theme tune that's still going strong... ;)

* When colour sets first hit, American prime time as a result was The Flintstones :D
