It might make a good portable 3D gaming systems but other than that it is a gimmick, It will be the rest of the operating system and features that lets it down.

My old X820 was almost 2D. The bloody thing kept snapping as there wasn't enough strength in the case.

Yes but will be a combination of everything that lets the phone down. Even if it has brilliant 3D if there are other significant problems than that will affect the success. Though having Android is no guarantee of success.

Seems like the next logical step really for those who want all the gimmicks. 3D games, photos and video are available on other (and soon to be released) devices so typically they've stuck it all in a smartphone.

I liked 3D when it was an obscure offshoot of regular photography. Soon any chump with a phone will be able to do it. :(
