What's your preferred setup? I'm running out of foam and am looking at a brush and hard soap combo, what in your experience is the best way to lubricate your face? for shaving. |

I got some very good Nivea moisturising balm for use after shaving for Christmas. Normally I dry shave as I can't be arsed wet shaving. |

is shaving with foam normal? not once in my life have I ever used any foam with any type of shaving, waste of money in my perception, for years I shaved with razor blades with no foam and now I just use a battery shaver also no foam ![]() |

I use a shaving brush and hard shaving soap from body shop. If you do this you have to lather the soap before you apply it. It's almost like shaving foam when you put it on. I like to warm it up before applying it. Soak the brush in hot water to soften it also. Body shop have a whole range of soap, brush, etc... |

I am currently using a Remington electric razor, which cuts my stubble short rather than leave me clean-shaven. I have a Gillette Fusion razor for wet shaving, but haven't done it in a while because it irritates the hell out of my skin, esp. when the hair starts growing back. I normally use the Gillette Fusion gel for sensitive skin when wet shaving, which I prefer over foam. I also have a moisturiser for afterwards, for all the good it does. |

There's a 50p difference between the Fusion gel and Gillette original gel, and the contents are the same ![]() |

If you're still in Glasgow I'm sure it will be easy enough to find someone to rearrange your face for you. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Gel FTW! IME, you may as well just put some suds round your gob as use foam ![]() Nivea shaving gel and Wilkinson Sword triple-blade thingy (not that that makes much difference IMO). Tesco shaving gel is an abomination ![]()

Electric shavers always give me a bad shave so I wet shave and the best lubrication I've used is Gillette Fusion Hydra Foam |

I too use Body Shop shaving soap and brush, can't fault it myself.
I'm somewhat surprised at that bratty. Straight razor gives a great shave if properly sharpened. |

Hmm I shall have a look at the Body Shop stuff, though I do think the stuff they sell is expensive for what it is. ( I should get a better paid job i suppose) |
