http://www.oxygenxml.com/Check out the ridiculous banner navigation thing on here. Seriously, I can't work out how to get to anything using that thing.

It is weird, especially as some of the items overlap each other.

Thusly is the aphorism "Just because you can doesn't mean you should" applied.

I think they're referring to the enormous Flash banner where all the clickies move around. If you turn Flash off, the rest of the site is fine!

It works, it's just that banner thing. It's flash so you may not see it.

Plug in content, like Flash, QuickTime, etc. occupies a whole chunk of browser estate. Imagine someone taking a knife to the web page, and cutting out the space where the plug in has to go and discarding it. As the drop-down menus are part of the HTML, they are subject to this cutting too. The Flash is then dropped into the hole. The result - the HTML is clipped. It appears to be “behind” the Flash animation. Infact, it’s not being displayed at all. Some browsers are able to overcome this problem, and the browser will show HTML menus over the Flash (as intended). Some browsers, however,m are still incapable of working this out, and you get fragmented menus.

This has gone way over my head, however is there a Guinness World record for the amount of acronyms used on a single web page?

I'm struggling to see the problem too. That flash banner is annoying, and dragging the icons around does mean that some overlap, but I wouldn't say that it made it a particularly bad website.

Jeez, you guys.
OK, maybe I used the wrong title but did you actually read my post?
I was not complaining about the entire website. The website works.
It's just the ridiculous navigational flash thingy at the top.
Why have a navigation tool that randomly changes where things are and loses all track of anything you want to find. It even throws things out of the flash area so you have to drag stuff around etc...

Ah, got ya. Head still full of sleep. No, I see what you mean, a bit odd. Fun though if you don't actually need to find anything.
