The Awesome bar? *sigh*

Feels more Safari-ish, but with more fiddly bits.

Downloaded it, but it won't run on PowerPC Macs apparently, no mention of this on the website that I could find - it would have been nice to have been told beforehand. Ended up overwriting the older Firefox 3.6.15 in my Applications folder!! Grrr.

Luckily, managed to roll it back to the old version using Apple's Time Machine backup, but not impressed that they didn't mention it was Intel Macs only, a simple bit of text next to the "Download" button wouldn't have gone amiss. *sigh*

Ugh, initial impressions are that i hate the more Chrome like layout.

After updating i instantly moved the tabs back to below the address bar, and the Home button to the left hand side.

Where they belong.

You can swap the tabs, excellent. I may well switch over now. :)

Indeed.

Firefox -> Options -> "Tabs on top"

Anybody finding that they seem to have screwed with the default text setting?

I don't know what i had/what it was before, but on certain sites the text seems out of proportion with certain headers being way too large and font being comparatively small. Meaning that if i turn the font up for normal text the headers get massive, and if i turn the font down for the headers, normal text is like tiny.

EDIT: And i just noticed another change... "Open in New Tab" and "Open in New Window" have now been swapped around so the former is now the first option when right clicking a link as opposed to the second the way it used to be... meaning that i keep opening up multiple new windows every time i try to open a new link -.-'. Something else to get used to...

I haven't seen any issue with text. As for new tabs if I'm using the trackpad I right click and press T. With a mouse I middle button so no issue for me.

Was the address bar always present in pop-up windows for things like iPlayer? :?
I notice it now, possibly due to a persona change, but it is just as likely to have always been there.
Also the pop-up window doesn't have the same appearance as the main window, still has the old firefox logo button in the top left.

I think Firefox did that thing a while ago where something gets a lead and they throw lots of crap at it in the belief that they've achieved perfection, so adding more stuff will surely just make it better, actually less is more, Facebook realised this a long time ago after their dalliance with meme overload, Chrome came along with a very minimalist layout - the speed of a browser is a lot about how quickly you can start navigating and understanding a page and the less visual clutter and more logical the layout, the "faster" the browsing experience, regardless of if load times are significantly faster or not.

When you right click on a link, have they swapped the "open in a new tab" and "open in a new window" options around?
I've accidentally opened links in new windows three times already and I never do that normally.

moved the tabs back to below the address bar
i have the back/forward buttons set between the address bar and the search window then to the right of the search window i have home/stop/reload/print buttons
this makes the back/forward button more in the middle of the browser

two add ons are disabled tabsidebar and dictionarysearch ...

That's only if you've renabled the "Menu Bar" or use "Alt" to show it, and don't have the bright orange "Firefox" button in the corner :P.

I'm not really too bothered about that since it does consolidate all/most of the previous drop downs into one bar.
