Slight (very slight) talk about what you can expect from the film at the end of the article, but I'd suggest you read it alongside the vid if you're curious about this film:

I think I'll try this film eventually if it comes my way, but I wouldn't pay to see it...

The only reason I was ever remotely interested is because in the film, the main girl looks like a young Cameron Diaz.

Horrendous review from Mark Kermode this week.

Overall I don't agree with him that often, but I usually see where he's coming from, and even arse-lickers Empire and Total Film didn't do their usual trick of giving it four out of five stars before slating the DVD release

I lost respect for Kermode when he wouldn't stop going on about Pan's Labyrinth being the most awesomest film of all time ever, thought it was a bit toss myself :)

Kermode's a supercillious tw@t anyway.

From what I understand of Sucker Punch, the first 5 minutes are hardly representative of the film are they? You won't get any of the dragons or robot samurai by then, it's all 'real world' set up.

If a film is advertised on TV or the sides of buses it cant be that good. I have seen the adverts for it on TV.

If I wanted to watch the first five minutes of this film, I'd go to the cinema and watch it all, which is exactly what I plan on doing.

+1. It's one of the reasons I try to avoid trailers, especially the extended ones - they practically show the entire film!

That's why I mentioned what it says in the article :)

I've no problem with trying to get an idea of the film beforehand (and this one's been very divisive it seems, though at least I know now I'd give it a go), but I do have a problem with recent trailers showing you every major action scene

Yeah, nothing like dishing out the punchlines... Actually, I've seen trailers where they've did that without even giving you the build-up! And don't get me started on scenes that aren't even in the film

Actually, I wonder what the ASA*'s position on that would be

Qusetion: You're tasked with making a trailer for a movie. What bits do you show then? If you don't like trailers which show the jokes, the punchlines, the explosions, the shoot outs, y'know, the good bits - what do you show?
What would you guys put in your trailers in order to entice me to come and spend money watching your film then?

 I am genuinely surprised Chris.

Personally, I'm looking forward to it, but more for the rather geeky reason that it's one of a recent crop of films that have used my AEC application of choice (Revit) to model (for both fabrication & visualisation) the sets - and it's totally humbling to see it used in that way.
