Don't know why but I've managed to go almost two years now without modding my iPhone 3GS. Biggest issue is reliable sources/methods. Jailbreakme.com want me to roll back the firmware. Currently going to try redsn0w. Does anyone else have a better/reliable method to do this? What has everyone else used to jailbreak their apples. |

I haven't, I've heard too many stories of poor battery life and sluggish performance with the jailbreak. |

Not that interested in Jailbreaking my Apple devices. There is very little that I want to do that can only be done on a jailbroken phone. So I can live with that. |

Yup, Apple. IIRC there is something that stops them running. |

Looking at some of the forums for jailbreaking, they say that it doesnt pose a problem. I personally cant confirm this as my phone has not been released from the garden of delights. |

Some apps such as eBay don't run correctly on jailbroken phones (it's the push notifications bit) Most run fine. I JB'd my 3GS but apart from a NES emulator I didn't use much else |

I only want to run one app which is not available on the app store. That is only banned because is morally questionable. |

I have the 3g, cant say jailbraking did anything with the battery it does get horribly sluggish however if you start messing with the springboard. I mean custom everything currently, the only reason ive JB'd it is so that i can rotate the springboard and for the dvorak keyboard i use |

Yeah it's done and it's crashed a few times. Mainly when I try to do too many things, though TBH it crashed a few times even before the jailbreak. Anyway I've got an iron man theme, which is uber cool as all of the main icons are custom. ![]() And I'm considering paying for Lock Info which gives information on the screen when the keypad is locked: ![]() |
