Haven’t been here for a while so I decided to adopt my Twitter identity and begin afresh. Nice to see lots of old Dennis faces and quite a few new ones.

The Dennis forum admin formerly known as SAughton.

Hi Simon.

Good to see you have a new avatar, as Paul is currently using the Atomium somewhere in his collection.

Whoa! Have I slipped into another parallel universe?

Welcome, Simon. I hope you stay around. We're a nice bunch really.

My previous absence was due to mis-placed loyalty to MacUser. Since they no longer require my services — and don’t even seem to require much of a website — and since I have it on good authority that the forums are, as Frazer would say, doomed, this will have to be my new home, forum-wise. I’ve even added it to my blog roll.

That's kind of sad news, really. I cut my forumite teeth on the old Dennis forums.

Don't forget, as Church Cat will no doubt pipe up once he's crawled from his cat basket and had a good bask in the morning sun, you'll also be very welcome over at the British Mac forums.

The Dennis forums were doomed when they got split up. Ancient history now.

Welome back!

I’m sure, but it’s a bit too jingoistic for me (I have a very low tolerance level when it comes to all things patriotic).

Perhaps, but the MacUser forums could have thrived as a tech support area for the magazine, had the magazine taken a moment’s interest in its own website.

I know what you mean, but it's all meant in a fun kind of way.

Aye, and there's the rub. A technology magazine not bothered with its own web site. Such a wasted opportunity.
