Has anyone any experiance of this? as an online shop doesnt accept paypal he says "however can take credit card over the phone"

isint this dangerous? if I were to do that order and give him my credit card details say for example I do so, this means he has ALL my details and at ANYTIME can take out all my money???

really need the order from this site because I got a new project hobby, I bought a world war 2 era submachinegun (deactivated) and got it cheap and theres bits missing so im going on militeria sites to order the missing bits,

any suggestions what to do? or if this is even safe to do phone credit card order?

I've done shop orders over the phone. For my car insurance, for instance.
Some dodgy bloke flogging bits of guns? Don't think I'd bother, to be honest.
Why not ask him for his account number and sort code and just do a transfer?

bratty, before paypal, before online shopping, before the internet existed as it does, this is how people bought things from home. This was home shopping.

Or... and this is just a thought... you could just not rebuild the gun.
And then there'd be one less gun in the world.
Just a thought.

+1

I remember the days when people still wanted to do phone shopping, because they didn't think they could trust on-line shops!

While in theory true it is a CNP (Customer Not Presnet) transaction so you can dispute any debits at any time. They have (the card Co) to refund it while they investigate. If they find he is doing it fraudulently they will take away his merchant ID which means he will not be able to accept any CC's in future

OR

Send him a cheque / Postal Order

One of you is wiser than the other. I know where I'd put my money.
